Role Overview
Inbound Supervisor at Ninja, leading receiving operations at a fast-growing grocery distribution center.
Role Purpose
Lead and oversee the receiving operation, managing the flow of goods from supplier arrival through receiving and putaway handover. Ensure every receipt is processed accurately, safely, and within the required timeline.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Plan the daily inbound schedule and allocate manpower based on truck arrivals and inbound volume.
Operations Management
- Supervise unloading, counting, PO receiving in the WMS, and putaway handover.
- Ensure all open receipts are closed on the same day with no end-of-shift backlog.
- Monitor inbound volumes, productivity, and open receipts.
- Maintain strong floor presence and ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and standards.
Quality & Compliance
- Enforce cold chain, FEFO, expiry, and quality control requirements across ambient, chilled, frozen, and fresh products.
- Maintain solid knowledge of Food Safety, Cold Chain, and Expiry Control.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and develop the receiving team while monitoring individual productivity and performance.
- Lead a team of Team Leaders and Receiving Officers.
Process Improvement & Coordination
- Identify recurring operational issues and support process and system improvements.
- Coordinate with Planning, Commercial, and Suppliers to ensure smooth inbound operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
- 2+ years supervising a receiving or inbound team.
- Experience in Grocery, FMCG, Retail, or Food Distribution, preferably with multi-temperature handling.
- Hands-on experience with WMS, including receiving, PO/ASN, and putaway.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid knowledge of Food Safety, Cold Chain, and Expiry Control.
- Proven people management and strong warehouse floor presence.
- English and Arabic, written and spoken.
Additional Information
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and peak seasons.
