Role Purpose
Contribute to a variety of transport planning studies including large-scale transport master plan assessments, traffic impact studies and multi-disciplinary planning projects in the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Planning & Analysis
- Understand transport planning, traffic engineering and travel demand theory.
- Assess public transport networks with familiarity of international transport planning standards and practices.
- Demonstrate practical understanding of the role and importance of transport planning in development access and citywide mobility plans.
- Undertake junction analysis to support traffic impact assessments.
- Contribute to preparation of reports including existing conditions analyses, trip generation, junction analysis and parking assessments.
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken.
- Work within a team environment.
- Work with limited supervision.
Professional Development
- Learn and retain new skills quickly from a variety of sources.
- Manage some project and financial responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in traffic engineering, transport planning or traffic modelling.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in transport planning.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in traffic engineering and transport planning with Operations and Maintenance railway project exposure.
- Minimum 5 years of traffic engineering, transport planning and traffic modelling experience.
- Knowledge of International public Transport Planning standards and procedures.
- Experience in the Middle East is preferred.
