Quantity Surveyor - Trainee

Role Overview

Quantity Surveyor - Trainee position with Al Tayer Group in Dubai, UAE.

Role Purpose

Provide comprehensive support to the estimation department in the preparation of bills of quantities and tender documentation to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Estimation & Measurement

• Examine tender drawings thoroughly to determine the quantity of materials required for bill of quantities preparation.
• Prepare bill of quantities where BOQ is not provided by the client and submit for approval.
• Verify BOQ and ensure that all items are measured and captured in the bill where BOQ is provided by the client.

Tender Documentation

• Assist in preparation of tender documents and prepare bills as per CCS format.
• Assist in compiling necessary tender documents including drawings and BOQs.
• Arrange tender submission on time.

Procurement & Coordination

• Identify subcontract elements in the tender and float enquiries for obtaining quotation.
• Provide all necessary support to the estimating department to facilitate smooth and timely processing of tender.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate in construction discipline.
• Around 2-3 years of experience in construction.
• At least one year of experience in interior fit out industry.
