Role Purpose

The Quality Inspector is tasked with quality assurance and quality control activities. The role ensures that NOV quality management system processes and procedures are followed, and that all materials and manufactured components are compliant with specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Validation

• Conduct receiving inspections on incoming material or components for conformance to purchase orders, company drawings, procedures, specifications and Code requirements.
• Validate that materials and manufactured components are compliant.
• Perform shop floor inspection of precision machined components and assemblies with tolerances less than 0.001".
• Use a range of manual measurement tools and fixtures to complete dimensional, in-process, and final inspections on components and assemblies.
• Inspect parts, assemblies and final product using advanced measuring instruments.
• Verify all record material with reference to work order.

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete Receiving Inspection Reports and related documentation.
• Prepare Dimensional Inspection Reports and related documentation.
• Prepare comprehensive Non-Conformance Reports and Corrective Action Reports in a timely manner for review by the QC Manager or QC Supervisor.

Quality Oversight & Coordination

• Work closely with the Production team to identify non-conformances and take immediate action to support corrective action and resolution of all issues.
• Assist with Quality Surveillance of sub suppliers.

Facility Management

• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment as required.

General

• Adhere to and comply with Saudi law, company policies and procedures, ISO Quality Program and procedures, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or equivalent experience in the same industry.
• Four to five years of experience in quality inspection or related quality assurance role.
• Experience in oil and gas will be an added value.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency with manual measurement tools and fixtures.
• Proficiency with advanced measuring instruments.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Adaptability to changing work environment, competing demands, frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules.
