Role Overview
QC Inspector – Insulation at ABIS, performing quality control inspection and testing on thermal and mechanical insulation and cladding installation projects.
Role Purpose
Inspect and test thermal and mechanical insulation and cladding installation activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Testing
- Perform in-process and final inspections on insulation and cladding installation works.
- Verify insulation material, thickness, and installation method against approved specifications.
- Witness moisture barrier, banding, and cladding installation checks per the ITP.
- Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and insulation standards.
Materials & Documentation Verification
- Verify materials and batch certificates against approved specifications.
- Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
- Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
Non-Conformance & Coordination
- Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
- Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
- Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for insulation works.
Quality Handover Support
- Support preparation of quality documentation for insulation handover dossiers.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on insulation and cladding application projects.
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- QC and inspection certification preferred.
