Role Purpose

Supervise quality activities in the insulation discipline in accordance with the quality management system. Plan, control, and perform inspections and tests while managing inspectors in the assigned discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Oversight and Performance Management

• Monitor work performance according to risk management results.
• Manage work performance on the insulation discipline per applicable work processes.
• Track and manage actual Quality Performance Indicator results.
• Identify and mitigate quality risks.

Inspections and Audits

• Conduct audits and inspections on insulation work.
• Apply coating application and inspection techniques.
• Perform quality control and inspection specific to painting and insulation.
• Utilize advanced inspection techniques, tools, and material testing methods.

Discipline-Specific Knowledge

• Demonstrate understanding of insulation materials and installation techniques.
• Apply surface preparation techniques for coating applications.
• Maintain expert knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to the discipline.

Coordination and Corrective Action

• Coordinate and monitor with other disciplines to provide corrective action.
• Liaise and resolve with clients on quality-related matters including Quality Issues, NCRs, and Observations.

Systems and Documentation

• Manage work activity through system management tools (FMCS, SCMS).
• Maintain advanced documentation standards.

Team and Stakeholder Management

• Lead and manage inspectors in assigned disciplines.
• Demonstrate leadership and management skills.
• Manage and motivate a team.
• Exercise excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field.
• 10+ years of direct work experience in inspection of capital projects quality.
• Familiarity with project specifications and standards.
• Medium to large-sized project experience.
• Experience in oil, gas, petrochemical, or power plants.
• Engineering & Construction Company working experience in GCC.

Skills & Competencies

• Expert knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced inspection techniques and tools, material testing methods, and documentation.
• Understanding of paint and coating materials.
• Discipline knowledge and experience in storage tanks, pipelines, process vessels, offshore structures, and structural steel.
• Understanding of project management principles.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
• Ability to work under pressure.
