Role Purpose

Perform quality inspection and control activities in the Civil discipline in accordance with the established quality management system, international codes and standards, and project requirements. Ensure all work conforms to quality specifications through systematic inspection planning, execution, documentation and coordination with clients and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection Planning & Documentation

• Establish inspection and test plans and record forms as per project requirements and international codes and standards.
• Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
• Prepare, review and approve inspection reports where inspection results are recorded.
• Prepare and review Quality procedure documents submitted by Subcontractors such as Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and Material Approval Request (MAR).
• Set and apply practical inspection processes for the Civil discipline based on project requirements and International Codes, including ITP management and inspection matrix.

Inspection Execution & Monitoring

• Perform quality activities in accordance with the quality management system established.
• Carry out inspections on Civil discipline to determine whether work performed conforms to quality requirements and record results.
• Monitor and inspect specific Civil related activities such as Compressive Strength Test, Soil Compaction, and on-site/off-site laboratory tests if required.
• Inspect incoming material deliveries by confirming specifications and compliance with approved submittals, conduct visual and measurement tests in conjunction with the onsite logistics team.
• Reject and facilitate the return of unacceptable materials.

Status Control & Quality Management

• Ensure inspection status is controlled through efficient tools such as inspection matrix.
• Control inspection status by using systematic tools such as inspection matrix.
• Control NCRs to be closed out within the due date and support preparation of Corrective Action Plan properly.
• Control quality violations through regular toolbox talk with the construction team.
• Ensure lessons learnt are applied and proper preventive action is conducted.

Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise, inspect and support Construction to proceed with related activities concerning progress in accordance with project specification.
• Perform QC Supervisor's responsibility in his/her absence.
• Perform and coordinate inspection with client.
• Review and track material submittals required for Civil Definable Features of Work prior to Preparatory Meetings.
• Conduct Preparatory Meetings with Subcontractors related to Civil Definable Features of Work.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School diploma or higher.
• Overall experience of 5 years.
• Experience in Inspection Specialty: 3 years.
• Experience in Contract Scope of Work: 2 years.
• Certificate related to Civil discipline.
• Construction experience in Oil/Gas/Petrochemical/Building and Infrastructure as QC Inspector or Supervisor, from project start to completion.
• Working experience in the Engineering and Construction Industries.
• Aramco Experience is required.
• CBT Pass is preferred for QC Inspector.
• Thorough working knowledge of recognized building codes such as the International Building Code (IBC) or equivalent standards.
• Thorough knowledge and proven ability in construction techniques with emphasis on soil mechanics, foundations, retaining walls, structural steel, masonry, building interiors, building finishes, roof systems, and asphalt.

Skills & Competencies

• Technical knowledge and familiarity with related international codes and standards in particular discipline.
• Ability to check that suitable and appropriate inspection and test tools are used.
