Role Overview
QC Inspector - Building at Samsung E&A. This role is based on a project site location, supporting quality control activities within the Building discipline.

Role Purpose
Plan, control and perform quality inspections and tests on Building discipline activities in accordance with the quality management system established by the QC Supervisor/Manager. Ensure all construction work meets applicable industry standards, codes and contractual requirements through systematic inspection, documentation and corrective action management.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection Planning & Execution
- Prepare Quality Procedures and Inspection Test Plans aligned with project requirements and International Codes.
- Plan, control and perform inspections and tests on Building discipline work.
- Set and apply practical inspection processes based on Project requirements and International Codes, providing ITP and managing inspection matrices.
- Monitor and inspect specific Civil related activities such as Compressive Strength Test, Soil Compaction, and on-site or off-site laboratory tests as required.
- Inspect incoming material deliveries by confirming specifications and compliance with approved submittals, conducting visual and measurement tests in conjunction with the onsite logistics team.
- Reject and facilitate the return of unacceptable materials.
Client & Subcontractor Coordination
- Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required, providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
- Perform and coordinate inspections with client.
- Conduct Preparatory Meetings with Subcontractors related to Civil Definable Features of Work.
- Prepare and Review Quality procedure documents submitted by Subcontractors such as Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and Material Approval Request (MAR).
Document & Reporting Management
- Prepare, Review and Approve related inspection reports where inspection results are recorded.
- Control inspection status using systematic tools such as inspection matrices.
- Review and track material submittals required for Civil Definable Features of Work prior to Preparatory Meetings.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Manage work performance on particular discipline as per applicable work processes.
- Coordinate and monitor with other disciplines required to provide corrective action.
- Control NCRs to be closed out within the due date and support preparation of Corrective Action Plans.
- Control quality violations through regular toolbox talks with the construction team.
- Ensure lessons learned and proper preventive actions are applied.
Systems & Operations
- Manage work activity through system management tools (FMCS, SCMS).
- Establish processes and systems to utilize FMCS and SCMS enabling systematic quality control and conduct training for operating procedures.
Supervision & Leadership
- Carry out QC Supervisor's responsibility in their absence.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School graduate or higher education.
- Overall Experience of 5 years.
- Experience in Inspection Specialty: 3 years.
- Experience in Contract Scope of Work: 2 years.
- Aramco experience is required.
- Thorough working knowledge of recognized building codes such as International Building Code (IBC-2009 and ACI 530.1-08) or equivalent standards.
- Thorough knowledge and proven ability in construction techniques with emphasis on soil mechanics, foundations, retaining walls, structural steel, masonry, building interiors, building finishes, roof systems, and asphalt.
- CBT Pass is preferred for QC Inspector; if you have SAP No. and pass the CBT, please mention it in your CV.
