Role Overview

QA/QC Supervisor - Instrumentation at Samsung E&A. This is a supervisory position responsible for quality assurance and quality control activities in instrumentation discipline across capital projects.

Role Purpose

Supervise quality activities in instrumentation discipline in accordance with the quality management system. Plan, control and perform inspections and tests while managing inspectors responsible for instrumentation quality assurance across capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Oversight and Performance Management

• Monitor work performance according to risk management results.
• Manage work performance on instrumentation discipline as per applicable work processes.
• Track actual results of Quality Performance Indicators.
• Identify and mitigate quality risks.
• Conduct audits and inspections on instrumentation systems.

Instrumentation-Specific Quality Control

• Apply instrumentation engineering principles and practices in quality assessments.
• Oversee design and installation of instruments, control systems, and automation systems.
• Manage instrument calibration and testing activities.
• Implement instrumentation standards and regulations including ISA and IEC requirements.
• Execute quality control and inspection techniques for instrumentation and control systems.
• Manage Loop Package Preparation and Control.
• Ensure discipline knowledge and experience in Control rooms, instrument shelters, analyser houses, and process skids.

Coordination and Problem Resolution

• Coordinate and monitor with other disciplines to provide corrective actions.
• Liaison with clients on quality-related matters including Quality Issues, NCRs, and Observations.
• Analyze and solve complex problems.

Administration and Systems Management

• Manage work activities through system management tools including FMCS and SCMS.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field.
• 10+ years of direct work experience in inspection of capital projects quality.
• Familiarity with project specifications and standards.
• Medium to large-sized project experience.
• Experience in Oil, Gas, Petrochemical or Power plants.
• Engineering & Construction Company working experience in GCC.

Certifications

• NDT Level II or higher certification.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
