Role Purpose
Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System across all construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and international quality standards while driving continuous improvement in construction processes and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan in line with ISO 9001 standards and project requirements.
- Establish and oversee QA/QC activities across multiple construction projects including civil, structural, mechanical, or infrastructure works.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across projects.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and local regulatory authority requirements in the UAE.
- Maintain strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and QA/QC procedures.
- Ensure familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
Audits & Risk Management
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
- Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Analyze defects and implement lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
Documentation & Reporting
- Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material submittals.
- Maintain quality documentation, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Reports (CARs), and audit reports.
- Ensure proper tracking, closure, and reporting of quality issues.
- Prepare regular QA/QC performance reports for senior management.
Site Oversight & Compliance
- Monitor site inspections and ensure adherence to approved procedures and standards.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination
- Lead and manage QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and document control teams.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders on quality-related matters.
- Provide training and guidance to site teams on quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Master's degree is an advantage.
- 15–20 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry.
- Minimum 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in large-scale projects in UAE or GCC preferred.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Membership in a recognized engineering body is an advantage.
