Role Purpose

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System across all construction projects. The role ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, and international quality standards while driving continuous improvement in construction processes and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System & Planning

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan in line with ISO 9001 standards and project requirements.
• Establish and maintain the Quality Management System across all construction projects.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure all construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and local regulatory authority requirements in the UAE.
• Ensure familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.

Audits & Corrective Actions

• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Maintain quality documentation, including NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CARs, and audit reports.
• Ensure proper tracking, closure, and reporting of quality issues.

Project Oversight

• Oversee QA/QC activities across multiple construction projects including civil, structural, mechanical, or infrastructure works.
• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans, method statements, and material submittals.
• Monitor site inspections and ensure adherence to approved procedures and standards.
• Analyze defects and implement lessons learned to prevent recurrence.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and manage QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and document control teams.
• Provide training and guidance to site teams on quality standards and best practices.

Stakeholder Management & Coordination

• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders on quality-related matters.

Reporting & Risk Management

• Prepare regular QA/QC performance reports for senior management.
• Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Continuous Improvement

• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• 15–20 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry.
• Minimum 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience in large-scale projects in UAE or GCC preferred.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Membership in a recognized engineering body is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and QA/QC procedures.
• Proficiency in QA/QC documentation and reporting tools.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
