It is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company with a track record of consistent growth, operating as a strong EPC contractor in the Energy, Infrastructure and Engineering Services sectors in Saudi Arabia. Core EPC activities include Power and Water Projects, Transmission and Distribution Projects, Building Construction (Industrial & Commercial) Projects, and Electro-Mechanical projects.
Role Purpose
This position exists to perform project civil Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities efficiently, in a timely manner and according to quality standards as defined in company policies and procedures, to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Quality Plan & Alfanar Quality Management System
- Implement QMS on project Quality Inspection and quality-related activities with coordination to Client, Consultant and vendor Inspections.
- Maintain system manuals, international and national standards, client specifications, Technical data sheets, handbooks, product-range and component catalogues, copies of ITP and all relevant documents related to inspections.
- Verify and assure accreditation, certifications, approvals and accolades along with profiles of vendors, external, third-party or independent agencies.
- Maintain quality records including logbook of work performed, QA/QC Weekly report, Internal inspection report and Non-Conformance report (NCR).
- Prepare quality-related documents such as ITP, MOS, Checklist, PQI and QA/QC weekly report.
- Implement the ALFANAR LESSON LEARNT PROGRAMME to reduce punch points that would appear during project handover.
- Ensure and act for Customer Satisfaction.
Monitoring & Inspections
- Ensure works are carried out as per PTS, IFC drawing and approved method statement.
- Ensure work is correctly prepared prior to any inspection.
- Confirm that works are properly inspected at the required stages as stated in ITP or as required by Client.
- Ensure that all material and equipment to be purchased and incorporated into the permanent installation comply with the contract, plan, PTS and standard.
- Ensure that required tests are performed and verify compliance against requirements.
- Conduct site installation inspection, material receiving inspection and report to the concerned authority; control and monitor inspection and test requirements and data with respect to project PTS.
- Assure the maintenance and calibration of inspection testing equipment.
- Carry out inspections and testing as per plan.
- Prepare Checklists and RFIs of all work for Consultant approval and Inspections.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Execution Team, Project Management, Client and Consultant to address QC-related matters.
- Coordinate with independent testing laboratory for material testing, follow up for test reports and submit to Consultant.
- Report quality matters to Quality reporting to TQM Department.
- Report quality-related matters to Project Manager for necessary action and to TQM Manager for information.
Quality Records & Reporting
- Obtain and verify quality records and maintain them in a traceable, easily retrievable and safe manner; maintain proper log for QC documents.
- Verify test results, report and recommend to Project Manager for necessary actions.
Leadership & Team Development
- Train subordinates and form a team to achieve work effectively.
- Provide leadership, coaching and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
- Delegate subordinates to respective assignments.
- Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.
Delivery & Performance
- Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
- Provide periodic reports detailing deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving & Quality
- Resolve problems that arise and escalate complex operational issues.
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products, processes or related activities.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures and seek automation opportunities.
- Comply with related policies, procedures and work instructions.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance and delivery of high-quality products and services.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2 to 5 Years of work experience.
