QA Engineer (Mid-Level)

Role Overview

QA Engineer (Mid-Level) at BlackStone eIT. The role covers test planning, execution, and defect management throughout the delivery lifecycle for enterprise digital solutions across manual and automated testing, with a focus on the Microsoft technology stack.

Role Purpose

Ensure the quality of enterprise digital solutions by performing manual and automated testing, validating functional and non-functional requirements, and working closely with architects, developers, and business analysts to support successful releases.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Requirements Analysis

• Contribute to and maintain test plans and test cases for assigned projects.
• Review requirements and user stories to derive clear, traceable acceptance criteria and test coverage.

Manual Testing

• Perform manual functional, integration, regression, and UAT-support testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Test solutions built on Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Dynamics 365, and Power Platform components.
• Validate integrations and workflows built with Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and related Azure services.
• Conduct API testing, data validation, and cross-browser/cross-device testing.

Test Automation

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, and regression) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

Defect Management & Reporting

• Log, track, and manage defects to closure, ensuring accurate prioritization and root-cause reporting.
• Report quality metrics and release readiness to project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of QA experience, including hands-on manual and automation testing.
• Hands-on experience testing Microsoft technologies, including Power Apps, Dynamics 365, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
• Solid understanding of the SDLC/STLC and Agile delivery methodologies.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• SQL for data validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Version control using Git.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB certification (Foundation or Advanced).
• Experience with Dataverse, Power BI, and the broader Azure ecosystem.
• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Exposure to government or large-scale digital transformation programs.
