QA and QC Inspector

Role Overview

QA and QC Inspector at Parker Wellbore. The role performs quality assurance and quality control activities at various stages of manufacturing to monitor domestically manufactured and repair products, ensuring compliance with international standards, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Role Purpose

Monitor all stages of manufacturing and repair operations to ensure products meet international standards, legal requirements, and customer specifications before delivery to end users.

Key Responsibilities

In-Process and Final Inspection

• Perform in-process and final inspection as per drawing, route card, and specification or OMS requirements.
• Receive inspection of raw materials, repair goods, outside processed material, and bought-out material.
• Inspect all process documents before material is finally released and delivered.

Calibration and Equipment Management

• Perform and maintain records of calibration and verification activity of gauges, measuring and test equipment with established control features.
• Understand and apply calibration techniques in accordance with API and international standards.

Compliance and Verification

• Ensure product license applications and procedures are in compliance as per licensor requirements.
• Verify work orders, inspection reports, and certificates of conformance to release products.
• Ensure identification and traceability of products at each level of operations.
• Maintain inspection status of products at all times.

Quality Assurance

• Perform quality assurance check on tools and equipment before dispatching to customer location.
• Report nonconformities to the QA/QC Supervisor or Manager.

Safety and Operations

• Authorized to stop any unsafe operation or acts within workshop and site activities.
• Execute any other delegated tasks or responsibilities as required, provided requests are reasonable and the employee is capable and competent to fulfill them.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Educated to higher secondary level or equivalent in Mechanical or similar Engineering, preferably.

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in QA/QC field.
• Experience with inspection, measuring and testing equipment and tools related to oilfield equipment, steel stock, manufacturing, and machine shops.
• Experience in calibration of IMTE as per API and international standards.
• Preferably knowledge in oil and gas experience with machine shop inspection and downhole tools.

Skills & Competencies

• Understanding and knowledge of product and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of measuring and monitoring tools and equipment as well as calibration technique.
• Familiar with inspection of all products and services as per quality control plan and specification: API 7-1, API 7-2, and 5CT as well as relevant standards.
• Ability to comprehend, remember, and follow directions and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ability to work in a team environment taking into consideration alternative and diverse perspectives.
