Role Overview
Punjabi Linguist CAT II supporting CENTCOM operations with Amentum. The position is located in Kuwait. Please note: there is not currently a position available; applications will be processed on an as-needed basis for future positions.

Amentum is a global organization seeking dedicated linguist professionals to support the intelligence community and U.S. military operations overseas.
Role Purpose
Provide linguistic and cultural expertise to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait as a Subject Matter Expert. Deliver translation, interpretation, and analysis services in Punjabi while contributing regional historical, political, sociological, and economic insight to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Interpretation
- Provide operational contract linguist support for military operations.
- Interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Work shifts and extended hours in support of 24 x 7 operations.
Analysis and Research
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
- Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information.
Language Services
- Supply a variety of translation and interpretation services for Punjabi.
Qualifications & Experience
- U.S. citizen.
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency level 3 in Punjabi (target language) based on oral and written language skills examination.
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency level 2+ in English based on oral and written language skills examination.
- Familiarity with and ability to conduct oneself in accordance with local culture and customs.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent command of Punjabi verbal skills.
- Excellent command of English verbal skills.
- Excellent English writing skills.
Additional Information
- Must hold a current U.S. passport, or apply as soon as accepted into the program.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance for access to classified information.
- Must be willing to work in Kuwait.
- Must undergo medical examination.
- Position requires willingness to work OCONUS (outside the continental United States).
