Role Overview
Public Relations Senior Specialist (Qatarization) at Elate, based in Qatar.
Role Purpose
Manage all media relations for Vodafone Qatar and maintain strong public relations across multiple channels. Develop and implement PR strategies, convey Vodafone's brand purpose and messaging, and ensure all goals are met within expected deadlines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Media Planning & Strategy
- Develop media plans for corporate projects and initiatives.
- Formulate PR plans and strategies aligned with Vodafone Qatar strategies.
- Update the media calendar to manage and plan all media engagement activities.
Content & Communications
- Draft press releases and send them to local, regional, and international media as required.
- Coordinate talking points, speech answers for media interviews with the CEO and Vodafone Qatar spokespersons.
- Develop key messages for projects and campaign communications.
- Draft newsletters and manage press materials.
Media Relations & Events
- Manage media relations, requests, invitations, and press conferences.
- Engage with local and regional media on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate training and support for Vodafone spokespersons if required.
- Monitor local, regional, and international media reports.
Brand & Presence
- Enhance the company's voice and presence through online and offline channels.
- Manage the company's social media platforms in coordination with the Head of Media Relations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends.
Stakeholder & Issue Management
- Facilitate resolution of disputes with the public or external vendors as needed.
- Support implementation of promotional plans.
Reporting
- Deliver weekly and monthly reports to Head of Media Relations listing all media activities, including press releases, radio and TV interviews, and analytics for all media activities.
General Duties
- Perform any additional projects, tasks, or activities assigned or delegated by the Line Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- 0–6 years of experience in media relations and events.
- Proven working experience as a Media or Public Relations Specialist.
