Role Overview
Project Manager at Hitachi Energy Ltd, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting as a Specialist Professional (P4)—a recognized subject matter expert typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Role Purpose
Lead the execution of large energy system projects while managing limited oversight from your manager. Establish project execution approaches, coach and delegate work to lower-level professionals, and solve difficult, complex problems. Ensure all activities comply with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health and safety requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Planning
- Lead the execution of energy system projects and ensure all related activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
- Establish the project execution approach and oversee execution planning, monitoring, and control activities.
- Lead the project team and manage both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
- Oversee project hand-over activities.
Monitoring & Control
- Monitor and control project progress and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Monitor and control project financials, including project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
Risk & Opportunity Management
- Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks.
- Ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
- Drive the formal acceptance of the project and ensure contract close-out and acknowledgement by the customer.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Procure all required services, materials, and equipment from external and internal suppliers.
- Support negotiations, claims, and project changes.
Process Improvement & Values
- Support the organization in process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
