Role Overview

Project Manager at Hitachi Energy Ltd in Dammam, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. Full-time, on-site position.

Role Purpose

The Energy System Project Manager leads the execution of projects and ensures that all related activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. This role supports the organization in process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Planning

• Lead project activities and establish the project execution approach.
• Oversee project handover, execution planning, monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources.
• Accomplish all project goals through systematic planning and oversight.

Monitoring & Control

• Monitor and control project progress and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Monitor and control project financials.
• Oversee project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow.

Risk & Opportunity Management

• Identify, qualify, quantify and manage project risks.
• Ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued.

Project Closeout & Customer Acceptance

• Drive the formal acceptance of the project.
• Ensure contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Procure all required services, materials and equipment from external and internal suppliers.
• Support negotiations, claims and project changes.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as the key contact for the customer.
• Serve as an escalation point for project issues.

Team Leadership & Development

• Work independently with limited supervision.
• Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of project execution experience with electrical equipment and substation projects (capacitor banks and power quality) preferred.
• PMP or IPMA certification is a plus.
