Project Manager-Transformation Office

Role Overview

Project Manager – Transformation Office at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC). This role works independently to plan, direct, coordinate, and deliver project activities across the entire project life cycle, from initiation through handoff to the customer.

Role Purpose

Own the planning, execution, and delivery of medium to large projects with department or site-level strategic importance. Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and in conformance to SSMC Enterprise and Transformation project management methodologies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Delivery

• Plan, direct, coordinate and deliver project activities through the entire project life cycle.
• Lead one or multiple medium to large projects independently.
• Ensure timely achievement of project objectives and completion in accordance with budget and SSMC standards.

Budget & Financial Management

• Manage established budgets and participate in the creation and tracking of project budgets.
• Demonstrate strict adherence to budget management guidelines of both the assigned department and the institution.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Build relationships and work with diverse functions across the organization.
• May lead matrix supervision and evaluation of staff from other departments, divisions, and contractors or vendors.
• May have direct and indirect reports.
• Facilitate problem-solving, decision-making, and change management.

Governance & Documentation

• Ensure project documents, plans, and data are relevant, complete, updated, and stored appropriately.
• Prepare project reports on a regular basis.
• Demonstrate project-focused culture and advise other staff regarding PM practices, methods, and standards.

General Responsibilities

• Perform additional job functions as detailed by immediate supervisor.
• Apply negotiation skills characterized by entrepreneurial thinking.
• Take prudent actions to accomplish project objectives under minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Experience

• 7–8 years of relevant progressive experience in a similar role.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with Project Management Body of Knowledge.
• Project management training.
• Must have or be in the process of obtaining a formal project management designation (PMP or Prince 2).

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Quality, Health Care Management/Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a relevant field.
• Diploma in a relevant field with 3 years of additional experience.

Desired Experience

• Experience in a large healthcare facility.
