Project Manager - MEP with Grade A KAHRAMA certification

Role Overview

Project Manager – MEP with Grade A KAHRAMA certification at Al Shirawi Group. This role manages mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) and HVAC maintenance operations.

Role Purpose

Lead and execute MEP maintenance projects in compliance with contractual requirements, manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure preventive and corrective maintenance completion within service level agreements, and maintain operational efficiency across commercial, industrial, and utility facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Planning

• Lead and manage the execution of MEP maintenance projects in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, and associated building systems.
• Ensure all corrective maintenance activities are completed within the stipulated response and resolution times.
• Plan and allocate manpower, tools, vehicles, and materials to achieve operational efficiency.
• Prepare maintenance plans, schedules, manpower deployment, and resource allocation.
• Handle emergency breakdowns and ensure timely restoration of services.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage contract administration and client relationship management.
• Ensure compliance with all Kahramaa, local authority, and client requirements.

Team & Subcontractor Management

• Lead team meetings, provide technical guidance, and support staff development.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary maintenance teams including HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and maintenance procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and technical audits to maintain service quality.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare monthly progress reports, KPI reports, invoices, and management presentations.
• Monitor spare parts consumption and coordinate procurement requirements.
• Monitor budget control and cost performance reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Mandatory possession of a valid Kahramaa Grade A Electrical Engineer Certificate.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in MEP maintenance and facilities management.
• Valid Qatar Driving Licence.
• Proven experience managing large-scale HVAC preventive and corrective maintenance contracts.
• Proven experience in operation and maintenance of commercial, industrial, and utility facilities.
• Proven experience with electrical systems including LV panels, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, lighting systems, and power distribution.
• Proven experience with mechanical systems such as chillers, package units, split ACs, VRF systems, ventilation systems, pumps, and associated controls.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar regulations, safety requirements, and maintenance standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and CMMS maintenance software.
• Knowledge of contractual obligations, KPIs, and SLA management.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
