Role Overview

Project Manager – High Performance Computing (HPC) at The Institute of Foundation Models (IFM) at MBZUAI.

Role Purpose

Drive infrastructure projects end-to-end for large-scale GPU clusters supporting cutting-edge AI model training and research. Coordinate vendors, internal university departments, and research stakeholders while maintaining documentation, governance, and delivery tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the HPC Lead to manage infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with external vendors on project deliverables and timelines.
• Liaise with internal university departments including IT, procurement, compliance, and finance.
• Engage research stakeholders to understand requirements and maintain alignment.
• Establish and maintain project documentation and governance frameworks.
• Monitor project progress and delivery tracking against milestones.
