Project Manager (Engineering/ Technical)

Role Overview

Project Manager (Engineering/Technical) with Catenon for a pioneering Spanish engineering and construction company specializing in Water Purification and Treatment Plants, and Reverse Osmosis Sea Water Desalination Plants.

The client company has 40 years of experience and is recognized as a leading force among Spanish companies in engineering and construction of Water Purification and Treatment Plants. It is prominent in the international market for Reverse Osmosis Sea Water Desalination Plants. The company's reference list includes China, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Algeria, Tunisia, Chile, Venezuela, Portugal, France, the United Kingdom, Poland and India. The company maintains permanent offices in Poland, Dubai and New Delhi.

Role Purpose

To ensure the successful execution and delivery of technical work across engineering disciplines and subcontractors, managing project changes, resolving engineering issues, and maintaining schedule, budget and quality standards throughout project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery

• Own successful execution and delivery of technical work by engineering disciplines and relevant subcontractors.
• Ensure all project tasks and deliverables are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee engineering disciplines to maintain project schedule and budget compliance.
• Facilitate project execution with minimal disruption by addressing emerging engineering issues expediently.

Engineering & Technical Management

• Resolve engineering issues that have the potential to impede achievement of project objectives.
• Manage project engineering changes and change requests to minimize impact on project objectives and maximize commercial output.
• Ensure all engineering technical project documentation is released on time, in required format, and consistent with quality standards.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Communicate and implement project changes effectively.
• Act upon client queries quickly to minimize impact on project objectives.
• Communicate effectively to senior executives, both internally and externally.

Subcontractor Management

• Ensure that subcontractors deliver according to agreed schedule and scope.
• Manage emerging issues from subcontractors and manage changes with minimal disruption to overall project objectives.

Reporting

• Ensure all reporting is completed to required standards and on time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or any relevant field.
• 3–6 years of technical project management experience in wastewater plants construction field.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully work on multiple projects ranging from 3 months to 3 years in duration.
• Experience managing project teams from 3 to 50 participants.
• Experience managing project budgets from $25K to $3M.
• Knowledge and/or experience of Computer Systems Validation is strongly preferred.
