Role Overview
Project Manager at Emerson. This role manages the full project lifecycle for instrumentation, automation, and industrial solutions projects, from contract award through commissioning and handover, ensuring on-time delivery within budget while leading cross-functional teams and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Role Purpose
To manage complex projects across their complete lifecycle—from proposal support through contract award, execution, and commissioning—while coordinating cross-functional teams, controlling financial performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Project Lifecycle Management
- Manage the full project lifecycle from contract award through commissioning and handover, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and project closeout.
- Support the proposal team during the quotation phase by validating project assumptions, execution strategies, resource requirements, schedules, and cost estimates to ensure smooth project execution after project award.
Execution & Coordination
- Execute and coordinate project activities including contract review, procurement, manufacturing, inspections, logistics, shipments, subcontracting, installation activities, and site services to ensure on-time delivery.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and drive collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives and ensure resource alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary customer interface and coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, quality, logistics, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Skillfully navigate both formal and informal channels to cultivate broad-based relationships and garner necessary support.
Financial Management
- Manage project financial performance through budget control, cost monitoring, revenue forecasting, cash flow management, invoicing support, and profitability improvement.
Monitoring & Compliance
- Monitor project progress and compliance against schedules, KPIs, contractual requirements, and company procedures, including oversight of subcontractor performance and all site activities.
- Provide regular status reports and forecasts.
Risk & Change Management
- Evaluate and manage project risks, opportunities, and scope changes by implementing mitigation plans and administering variation orders and change requests.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline).
- At least 3 years of experience in Project Management or 5 years in lead engineering and commissioning roles within instrumentation, automation, digitalization, wireless, or industrial solutions projects.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary projects involving engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, site installation, commissioning, and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of commercial and contractual management, including contract terms, change management, claims, variation orders, and Incoterms.
- PMP certification is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of instrumentation, wireless solutions, flow measurement, pressure, temperature, and level technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, planning, and reporting tools.
- Strong customer engagement, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Ability to ask insightful and pertinent questions to conduct accurate situational analyses.
- Ability to effectively mobilize and allocate resources, including personnel, funding, materials, and support.
- Deep understanding of individual motivators and ability to strategically align tasks to optimize team performance and engagement.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
