Role Overview
Project Estimator at NMDC Group. This role is responsible for preparing estimations of large-value tenders and coordinating discipline-specific estimating activities across multiple tenders.
Role Purpose
Prepare estimations of large-value tenders and coordinate discipline-specific estimating activities across multiple tenders with respective Proposal Managers. Carry out compilation of tender portions pertaining to the assigned discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Estimation & Compilation
- Prepare estimations of large-value tenders.
- Prepare and check compiled estimates furnished by the Estimation Team.
- Carry out compilation of tender portions pertaining to the assigned discipline.
- Compute unit rate costs based on man-hours and material price lists.
Tender Document Review
- Review tender documents for discrepancies.
- Verify whether quotations meet required specifications from procurement.
Material & Specification Management
- Review and summarize material lists and material specifications to identify shortfalls in supply lists.
- Prepare lists of installation, testing, commissioning, spares and special tools.
Cost & Pricing
- Finalize fabrication and erection man-hours, paint areas and various specialty items.
- Price painting materials, labour, equipment, passive fireproofing and coating.
- Prepare Bid Tabs for Subcontract Works.
Team Leadership
- Supervise Estimators and Senior Estimators.
Stakeholder Support
- Provide necessary assistance to all aspects related to tenders, projects and proposals.
- Coordinate discipline-specific estimating activities with respective Proposal Managers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in a related discipline or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is an advantage.
- Minimum 09 years' experience in multi-discipline estimation coordination in the Oil & Gas Industry.
