Project Engineer- Plumbing

Role Overview

Project Engineer – Plumbing at Al Shirawi Group. This role is responsible for the planning, design coordination, execution, and supervision of plumbing systems in construction projects, ensuring all plumbing work complies with project specifications, local regulations, and quality standards.

Role Purpose

Oversee the complete lifecycle of plumbing systems from design review through commissioning, coordinating across disciplines, managing on-site execution, and ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Coordination

• Review plumbing design drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and other disciplines to resolve design issues.

Planning & Execution

• Plan and manage site execution of plumbing systems including drainage, water supply, and stormwater systems.
• Assist in material take-offs, procurement, and verification of delivered items.
• Ensure all plumbing works are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Supervision & Quality Assurance

• Supervise and guide subcontractors, technicians, and plumbing teams on-site.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of plumbing systems.

Documentation & Support

• Maintain documentation including daily reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
• Provide technical support during project execution and resolve site-related issues promptly.
