Role Overview
Project Engineer at Egis Group, Waagner Biro Bridge Services, Dubai, UAE. A leadership position within the bridge maintenance and construction team, reporting to project management and supporting both government and private sector infrastructure delivery.

Role Purpose
To manage, coordinate, and supervise bridge construction and maintenance activities on-site, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and relevant authority mandates.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Supervision
- Manage and supervise bridge construction and maintenance activities on-site.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, resource allocation, and work plans.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to project requirements.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate daily operations with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
- Attend project meetings and provide technical support to project stakeholders.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality control activities.
Technical Review & Engineering
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submittals.
- Identify technical issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, RTA, and other relevant authority requirements.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and company safety procedures.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in bridge construction, bridge rehabilitation, or bridge maintenance projects.
- Strong knowledge of bridge structures, concrete repair works, structural strengthening, bearings, expansion joints, and maintenance methodologies.
- Good understanding of project planning, quality management, and construction methodologies.
- Experience working on UAE infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Previous experience on RTA, Dubai Municipality, or other major UAE infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and project documentation processes.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information
- Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
- Certification in project management or construction management is an advantage.
