Project Engineer, Automation with Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company LLC, part of Ghobash Group. This role is based in the UAE and targets Emirati talent.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is one of the main clients, along with Tier 1 and Tier 2 EPC contractors. The company provides full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works, bringing localized expertise to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution.
Role Purpose
Support the execution of automation and control system projects from planning through commissioning. Coordinate across design, procurement, and site teams to ensure smooth delivery of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
- Assist in execution of automation and control system projects including PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of automation systems.
- Assist in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activities.
Planning & Coordination
- Support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams for smooth project execution.
- Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for technical support.
Technical Documentation & Compliance
- Review technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and documentation.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure adherence to HSE policies and procedures at site.
Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Electro Mechanical.
- 2 years of experience in automation projects within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Basic knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
- Familiarity with control panels, field instruments, and wiring systems.
- Understanding of project lifecycle including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Good planning and multi-tasking abilities.
