Role Purpose

Manage and coordinate large-scale infrastructure and city development projects from planning through delivery, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards while maintaining effective communication across all project stakeholders and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Control

• Develop detailed project plans that include timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
• Prepare engineering budgets, project schedules, and project control budgets.
• Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedule.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and problems that arise during the project.
• Provide technical advice and support to other departments.
• Monitor construction progress and provide technical assistance.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance teams to ensure project goals are met.
• Maintain effective and ongoing communication with construction and contractor management teams.
• Coordinate engineering activities with other departments.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate and communicate with project groups as needed on major projects in the Region.
• Coordinate with regional and site management on status, significant trends, and changes of approved projects.

Quality, Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure projects adhere to quality standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout the project.
• Inform yourself of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures in place within HILL International, and ensure continued compliance with these requirements.

Project Functions Oversight

• Monitor and coordinate Project Management, Site Management, Project Control Management, Engineering Management, Procurement, and Construction Management functions to ensure proper staffing and alignment with project goals.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned by line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or city development projects.
• Extensive experience in the project management of water and wastewater works.
• Experience of major government and/or semi-government program and project implementations.
• A record of engagement with government entities and utility providers.
• Experience of implementing a zero accident philosophy.
• Experience of working internationally.
