Role Purpose
Oversee the entire lifecycle of complex construction projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while aligning with strategic business goals and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Direction
- Provide overall direction and leadership to project teams, ensuring clarity of objectives and effective communication throughout all project phases.
- Influence and manage diverse teams effectively with strong leadership capabilities.
Planning & Strategy
- Develop comprehensive project plans that align with strategic business goals and client expectations.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to foster relationships and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and progress updates.
Risk & Site Management
- Oversee risk management processes and proactively address potential issues that could impact project delivery.
- Conduct regular site visits and meetings with teams to monitor progress, address challenges, and maintain project momentum.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 20+ years of experience in construction management.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects from inception to completion.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and manage diverse teams effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, project management principles, and relevant legal regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
