Role Overview
Project Director at HanmiGlobal Saudi. This role leads the full lifecycle delivery of major programs, overseeing strategy, governance, execution, and stakeholder alignment within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a PMC environment.
Role Purpose
The Project Director directs multidisciplinary teams and ensures compliance with project objectives, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. This position demands deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and extensive experience managing complex projects in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Governance
- Lead overall project strategy, governance, and execution from inception to completion.
- Maintain strong governance across commercial, procurement, and technical functions.
- Ensure alignment of project phasing with development goals and land-release strategies.
Planning & Execution
- Oversee planning, design management, construction delivery, and handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with project objectives, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and quality standards.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
- Direct multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve performance targets.
- Lead stakeholder engagement with authorities, government entities, and external partners.
- Resolve escalated issues, interface conflicts, and delivery risks.
Reporting & Optimization
- Provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, and progress updates to senior leadership.
- Drive value engineering, lifecycle optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & General
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent (highly preferred).
- Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, MRICS, or PgMP (highly preferred).
- Minimum 25 years of experience in large-scale construction and development projects.
- Mandatory experience delivering major projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Strong background working in a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle from inception and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Demonstrated expertise in construction management, project governance, and mega-project delivery.
- Proven experience delivering high-rise buildings, commercial buildings, towers, and mixed-use developments.
