Role Overview
Project Director at Surbana Jurong Group, based in Dubai, UAE. This senior leadership position supports the delivery of major and complex infrastructure projects.

Role Purpose
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for complex project delivery throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design to delivery and asset management. Lead multidisciplinary teams and act as a senior point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to scope, programme, quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and oversee multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for complex project delivery
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed scope, programme, quality, safety, and contractual requirements
- Oversee project performance, risk management, resources, and delivery strategies
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and key stakeholders
- Support client engagement and contribute to business development and strategic growth initiatives
Coordination & Governance
- Drive effective coordination across engineering, construction supervision, project controls, commercial, and other technical functions
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, governance, and contractual requirements
- Identify project risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (Master's Degree preferred)
- Minimum 20+ years of professional experience in project management, engineering, construction, consultancy, or a related field
- Proven experience in leading Independent Verifier (IV), Independent Supervision Consultant (ISC), or similar consultancy-led project delivery assignments
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading large, complex, and multidisciplinary projects
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of project management, project controls, construction supervision, contract administration, risk management, and stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of industry standards, best practices, regulatory requirements, and project governance
- Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- PMP, PRINCE2, Chartership, or equivalent professional certification is advantageous
