Role Overview
Senior Project Manager – Professional Services at Rackspace Technology, based full-time on-site in Riyadh.

Role Purpose
Lead, coordinate, and monitor Professional Services projects from initiation through delivery for complex client engagements. Build relationships with customers to identify opportunities that solve their business problems, serve as liaison between internal and external technical and non-technical departments, and deliver results ensuring technical projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management & Requirements
- Work with Rackspace and client stakeholders in gathering and documenting requirements that solve a customer's pain point or objectives through project outcomes and benefits realization.
- Serve as liaison between clients and Rackspace technical and non-technical departments to ensure all targets and requirements are met.
- Build and maintain a network of cross-functional technical resources within Rackspace and across relative partnerships to allow for higher productivity, increased business, and rapid resolution of problems and escalations.
- Regularly collaborate with Sales pursuit teams, Programme & Project Managers, Technical Consultants, Solutions Architects, Partners, and extended cross-functional teams during presales and project delivery to ensure timely delivery and awareness of potential problems or risk requiring resolution or mitigation.
Project Planning & Scope
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and Statements of Work (SoW), including analysis and development of scope, duration, deliverables, resources, risk, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Prepare key project documents (PID, plans, logs, reports) and other key deliverables throughout the life of the project.
Project Execution & Monitoring
- Own scope, planning, monitoring, and execution of technical projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget, cost, and quality tolerances.
- Monitor the delivery of project deliverables from third parties inside and external to Rackspace and track progress through continuous communication with project members.
Risk & Change Management
- Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, ensuring appropriate response plans are developed and executed.
- Effectively manage change to the project baseline by assessing project variance and evaluating impacts supported by rigorous change control processes.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and present reports on project progress and problems to Rackspace and client stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the refinement of the Rackspace Professional Services methodology.
- Provide Fanatical support by driving the value of Rackspace to both potential and existing Rackspace customers and internal sales teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- PMP or Prince2 (Practitioner) certification.
- Proven ability to lead, organize, and execute projects in a consistent, repeatable, and reliable manner.
- Project management experience scoping, planning, leading, and monitoring technical projects from initiation through delivery, preferably in managed services or cloud.
- Experience working on infrastructure technology projects.
- Technical conversational knowledge in the following areas: Public Cloud, DataCenter strategy and operations, capacity, utilization and performance, Backup, Storage and Disaster Recovery, migration and consolidation.
- IT Service Management and Service Delivery experience (ITIL certification preferred).

- Enterprise-level proficiency with MS Office suite including Project and Visio.
- Knowledge of other project management tools.
Additional Information
- This position is open to Saudi nationals only, in accordance with applicable Saudization requirements.
- Full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh.
