Role Overview
Production Assistant at Emrb.
Role Purpose
Support the production team in the control room during live news bulletins and programs, ensuring smooth coordination between the director, producer, presenters, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support
- Assist in preparing and updating news rundowns and scripts, ensuring all segments, live inserts, and packages are accurately reflected before going on air.
- Monitor bulletin timing and segment durations, assisting the producer in maintaining the broadcast schedule and managing transitions between stories.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the newsroom, graphics, transmission, and studio teams to confirm the readiness of video packages, lower thirds, and other on-air elements.
- Communicate real-time updates or last-minute editorial changes to the control room and relevant teams during live broadcasts.
