Role Purpose

The Procurement Manager is accountable for leading and managing all procurement activities to support business operations and project requirements, ensuring the timely sourcing and delivery of materials and services aligned with business objectives and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and project requirements.
• Monitor market trends, material availability, and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply risks.

Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to achieve the best value for the company.

Operations & Execution

• Oversee the complete procurement lifecycle, from material planning and purchasing to delivery and payment coordination.
• Work closely with project, engineering, production, and finance teams to ensure procurement activities meet project schedules.
• Ensure inventory levels are optimized while preventing material shortages or excess stock.

Governance & Compliance

• Review and approve purchase orders and procurement documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual obligations, and procurement regulations.

Reporting & Performance

• Prepare procurement reports, analyse spending trends, and provide recommendations to improve procurement performance.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives and continuous improvement.
