Role Overview

Principal Technical Professional - Specialty Engineering at KBR. This is a technical leadership role focused on specialty engineering disciplines including Signaling and Imaging, Radio Frequency, and Optical systems.

Role Purpose

Research, design, develop and analyze specialty systems. Develop requirements analysis and system architecture while supporting the development of complex systems. Apply in-depth technical knowledge to solve complex problems and recommend engineering solutions that meet design objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Development

• Research complex systems to achieve desired outcomes.
• Design and develop specialty systems such as Signaling and Imaging, Radio Frequency, and Optical systems.
• Analyze and evaluate test and production data.

Technical Analysis & Documentation

• Perform analyses and prepare documentation in connection with specialty discipline.
• Prepare technical analysis and recommend engineering methods and processes required to meet design objectives.
• Develop requirements analysis and system architecture.

Problem Solving & Advisory

• Solve complex problems and take a new perspective to identify and recommend solutions and best practices.
• Advise multi-disciplinary teams or run projects.
• Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 7 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in specialty engineering disciplines.
• Technical expertise in systems analysis, design, and development.
• Complex problem-solving and critical thinking.
