Role Overview
Principal Designer - Pipeline at KBR. This role operates under general supervision and carries responsibility for a measurable asset including assigned staff and budget.
Role Purpose
Apply advanced engineering techniques independently to resolve complex engineering problems and methods. Represent the organization in conferences and negotiations with key engineers and officials of other organizations. Provide authoritative technical guidance that other associates and engineers rely upon extensively.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Guidance
- Independently apply advanced engineering techniques to engineering problems.
- Make decisions on engineering methods and approaches.
- Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
- Serve as a high-level consultant to associates and others, with significant reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice.
Representation & Stakeholder Management
- Represent the organization in conferences to resolve important technical questions.
- Negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations.
Management & Oversight
- Own a measurable asset including assigned staff and budget.
Qualifications & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of related experience.
- Average experience range of 10+ years.
