Principal Delivery Manager, EI & PS (Emiratized Role)

Role Overview

Principal Delivery Manager, EI & PS at First Abu Dhabi Bank, located in Abu Dhabi. This is an Emiratized role.

Role Purpose

Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise integration and platform services by orchestrating cross-functional teams, aligning with strategic business goals, and ensuring timely, high-quality execution. Drive delivery excellence, optimize resource utilization, and embed SAFe agile and DevSecOps practices to accelerate digital transformation across the enterprise. Embed Value Stream Management (VSM) principles to align delivery efforts with measurable business outcomes, ensuring visibility and traceability across the entire delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Leadership & Execution

• Lead the delivery of complex integration and platform initiatives across multiple value streams.
• Manage delivery roadmaps, milestones, and dependencies across internal and external teams.
• Maintain capacity planning, resource forecasting, and vendor management for delivery execution.
• Provide leadership and direction to delivery teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Alignment & Governance

• Ensure alignment of delivery outcomes with enterprise architecture, business priorities, and regulatory requirements.
• Champion delivery governance, quality assurance, and audit readiness across all initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks.

Agile & Technical Practices

• Drive the adoption of agile delivery models, DevSecOps, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and product teams to ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and reusable platform services.

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify and mitigate delivery risks, ensuring proactive issue resolution and stakeholder communication.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Promote a culture of transparency, agility, and cross-functional collaboration.

Reporting & Metrics

• Track and report delivery KPIs, including velocity, quality, risk, and financial metrics.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years overall experience.
• Proven experience in delivering large-scale integration and platform programs in complex enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of banking technology landscapes, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API platforms, and cloud-native delivery models.
• Expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe), DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party delivery partners.
