Role Purpose
Assemble and fit pressure vessels to meet industry standards and project specifications, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products for heat-exchange and heavy-engineering applications.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly and Fitting
- Assemble and fit pressure vessels according to engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques for fitting, ensuring precise alignment and secure connections.
Quality Assurance
- Inspect and verify the dimensional accuracy and integrity of materials and structures before assembly.
- Conduct quality checks during and after fitting processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with welding and engineering teams to ensure proper installation and functionality of pressure vessels.
- Participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of fitting-related issues as they arise.
Workplace Management
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols and practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a fitter in pressure vessel fabrication or a related field.
- Technical diploma or vocational training in mechanical fitting or a similar discipline.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of pressure vessel standards, codes, and safety regulations (e.g., ASME).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Proficiency in using fitting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
