Role Overview

Pre-Sales Technical Solution Consultant (DataMena) at Du, based in the UAE.

Role Purpose

Design and scope advanced connectivity and bespoke network solutions for customers and datamena platforms. Lead technical architecture engagements to build solutions that optimize value for customers and drive revenue generation while bridging the gap between technology and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Connectivity Solutions

• Proactively and reactively scope technical solutions to address customer requirements, assess met and unmet needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value for both customer and company.
• Provide advanced connectivity solutions to customers via RFP or non-RFP processes.
• Develop and implement ideas to enhance customer experience and business growth.
• Lead technical discussions with customers, partners, and internal EITC stakeholders to build and deliver bespoke solutions supporting revenue generation.

DataMena & Hyperscalers

• Design bespoke network solutions for datamena and Du customers.
• Own solution and architecture design for major datamena and related initiatives.
• Oversee datamena platform architecture and high-level design to ensure capability and capacity for continued growth.
• Lead technical discussions with hyperscalers and large key accounts.

Technical Engagement & Architecture

• Conduct technical architecture engagements with key partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Attend technical discussion meetings to gather required information for Technical Design Specification creation.
• Ensure client requirements are correctly addressed in provided solutions.
• Guide technical implementation teams on approach and technical functions during project deployment.

Proposals & Advisory

• Lead the solutions and proposal development process.
• Conduct customer consultancy and advisory activities.
• Provide product, service delivery, and transition and transformation peer reviews.
• Support Complex Solution Managers on advanced engagements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related IT field.
• 10+ years of experience in a similar capacity in a competitive solutions role.
• Knowledge of designing DWDM, OTN, and fixed communication solutions.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols and enterprise communication services including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Experience designing voice, data, 5G, and M2M communication solutions.
• Hands-on experience with MPLS, SD-WAN, and SASE solutions.
• Industry, region, and local UAE knowledge.
• Proven track record implementing advanced connectivity solutions within an enterprise or service provider environment.
• Proven track record of global managed services experience.
• Experience dealing with hyperscalers and large key accounts.
• Solution and service strategy and design capabilities.
• Extensive experience designing and positioning international connectivity solutions along with related activities and controls.
• Familiarity with submarine cable systems, international POP, and carrier interconnection models.
• Knowledge of international peering, transit, and cloud exchange connectivity models.
• MBA or PMP certification is an advantage.
• CCIE certification is an advantage.
