PMC Specialist Static & Packages Engineer at Wood PLC. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a proven track record in leading and coordinating engineering teams to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of technical projects for a high-profile client.

Role Purpose
Lead technical expertise in mechanical static equipment design and coordinate the planning, execution, and completion of static equipment design and engineering activities with EPC Contractors, discipline engineers, and ADNOC stakeholders to deliver projects within defined timeframes while ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Compliance
- Provide technical expertise in all mechanical static equipment design.
- Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
- Ensure that facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects.
- Ensure full utilization of existing facilities while optimizing facilities required for new projects.
Design Review & Quality Assurance
- Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Mechanical Static Engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants and contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Review and approve Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor's work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor's Mechanical Static Engineering design activities.
Coordination & Integration
- Coordinate, monitor and handle static equipment design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectation and complete the same within the time frame.
- Ensure integration of overall Mechanical Static Engineering and overall coordination within IPMT Mechanical Static Engineering Team.
- Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering, Operation, Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Discipline Engineering execution and integrity.
- Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
Design Optimization & Analysis
- Coordinate the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models.
- Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to design optimization and validation.
- Participate in teams for equipment sizing and equipment selection considering optimization and standardization.
Meetings & Reviews
- Participate in layout reviews, model review, design reviews, and technical workshops.
- Coordinate technical reviews and bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
Installation & Commissioning Support
- Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
- Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager, and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization.
- Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department.
- Interface regularly with Contractor's Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as and when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry.
- Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
- Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.
