PMC Senior Supervisor – Civil

Role Overview

Wood PLC is recruiting a PMC Senior Supervisor – Civil for its Engineering team in the Oil, Gas & New Energies business, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This is a site-based position supporting an ADNOC Onshore project.

Role Purpose

To lead and supervise civil construction activities on large-scale ADNOC projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring delivery to schedule, compliance with design specifications and site requirements, achievement of zero harm through enforcement of HSE policies, and effective management of supervision teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Safety, Health & Environment

• Achieve zero harm by enforcing HSE policies and procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture among the workforce and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with permit-to-work and site safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site inspections.
• Identify and mitigate construction hazards.
• Participate in incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensure all activities comply with approved IFC drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Ensure strict compliance with site HSE requirements and company policies.

Schedule & Delivery

• Execute construction activities according to the approved project schedule.
• Monitor progress and take corrective actions to avoid delays.
• Support achievement of project milestones and key deadlines.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and manage civil supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate daily construction activities across multiple work areas.
• Ensure effective manpower deployment and resource utilization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to site supervision teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas projects.
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar position.
• At least 5 years in a PMC role on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects.
• PMC experience is highly preferable.
• Large projects experience is a must.
• Middle East / GCC experience on projects with Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, PDO, or similar is a must.
• Strong experience in large-scale EPC/EPCM projects with CAPEX greater than USD 500 million.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications, and work practices is essential.
• Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa.
