Role Overview
Wood PLC is recruiting an experienced PMC Senior Engineer (Planning) for the Engineering team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, within the Oil, Gas & New Energies business. The position is based at the Abu Dhabi office.

Role Purpose
This role delivers project planning and schedule management on large-scale ADNOC and Middle East projects. The Senior Engineer (Planning) develops and maintains realistic project schedules, monitors progress against baselines, and provides early warning of schedule deviations to support on-time achievement of key project milestones and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development and Management
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Create Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) schedules.
- Establish project milestones, critical paths, and project baselines.
- Prepare Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 schedules.
- Develop work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Maintain accurate progress measurement systems.
Progress Monitoring and Control
- Monitor project progress against the approved baseline schedule.
- Update schedules with actual progress data.
- Track critical and near-critical activities.
- Identify schedule variances and delays.
- Provide early warning of potential schedule deviations.
- Recommend corrective and recovery actions.
Reporting and Forecasting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Generate S-curves, progress dashboards, and KPI reports.
- Measure engineering, procurement, and construction progress.
- Present schedule status to management and clients.
- Provide project forecasting and trend analysis.
- Produce reliable schedule forecasts and completion dates.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in discipline engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas projects.
- At least 3+ years' experience in a similar position as PMC Sr. Engineer (Planning).
- At least 5+ years in a PMC role on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects.
- Strong experience in large-scale EPC/EPCM projects with CAPEX greater than USD 500 million.
- Middle East / GCC experience on projects with Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, PDO, or equivalent operators is a must.
- Proven track record in the detailed design of ADNOC projects.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications, and work practices is essential.
- PMC experience is highly preferable.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Knowledge of ADNOC standards, specifications, and work practices.
