Role Overview
PMC Senior Construction Manager - Brownfield at Wood PLC. This role manages planning and execution of Islands underground civil works, onshore fabrication, offshore transportation and installation, mechanical completion, and brownfield modifications to achieve project objectives.

Role Purpose
Lead construction efforts to ensure project execution in accordance with ADNOC Offshore and project procedures and Shareholder expectations. Directly manage Construction Leaders for on-island construction and onshore precast, holding accountability for planning and execution of all construction components and brownfield modifications.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and Strategy
- Develop comprehensive project plan and detailed schedule, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Manage Contractor's construction planning and execution efforts to ensure compliance with Project objectives, strategies, obligations and requirements.
- Establish a construction organization to implement the Project execution plans and procedures and coordinate resourcing of construction team positions.
- Provide construction and execution strategy support to the Project Team through construction oversight and assistance.
- Lead construction planning teams to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities.
- Ensure that detailed design deliverables support constructability.
Safety and Compliance
- Champion safety in all construction aspects and promote the safety objective that "Nobody gets Hurt".
- Ensure that the Contractor and Subcontractors are compliant with project safety expectations, policies and procedures.
- Steward the development of an Integrated Safety Plan for construction, including SIMOPS for all island and brownfield work.
- Assist in the review and implementation of all Contractor safety plans.
Construction Management and Operations
- Lead the Construction team to support the objectives and strategies.
- Manage the On Island Construction teams responsible for the planning, development and operations to ensure construction execution certainty.
- Steward interfaces and interactions between the Contractor and other UZ Projects, Production Operations, and Drilling.
- Manage the interface with ADNOC Offshore OPCO to execute brownfield works in order to minimize disruption in ongoing production operations.
Budget and Cost Control
- Estimate costs accurately, control the budget throughout the project, and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
Quality and Standards
- Ensure that construction work meets required standards and specifications.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Contract and Vendor Management
- Oversee contracts with consultants, contractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Reporting and Communication
- Report construction progress, performance, initiatives and issues to the Project Team.
- Regularly report on project progress to stakeholders, including any issues or delays.
- Facilitate smooth communication between all parties involved in the project to ensure everyone is aligned and informed.
- Clearly communicate to direct reports short-term and long-term goals that support the project objectives.
Continuous Improvement and Readiness
- Sponsor construction related readiness reviews, constructability workshops and CERs.
People Development
- Take a leadership role in mentoring and training UAE Nationals in construction management.
- Encourage and recognize outstanding performance, and ensure that staff are appraised regularly and developed accordingly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum 25 years of experience on large oil and gas projects including offshore.
- Offshore experience along with brownfield experience required.
