PMC Lead Rotating Engineer at Wood PLC. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with a proven track record in leading and coordinating engineering teams to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of technical projects for a high-profile client.

Role Purpose
Lead and coordinate mechanical Rotating Equipment engineering design and execution for complex projects, ensuring technical compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards, quality delivery within project timeframes, and integration across discipline engineering teams and stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise & Design Compliance
- Provide technical expertise in all mechanical Rotating Equipment design.
- Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
- Ensure that facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects.
Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate, monitor, and handle Rotating Equipment design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectation and complete the same within the timeframe.
- Ensure full utilization of the existing facilities while optimizing the facilities required for the new projects.
- Coordinate the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models.
- Participate in teams for equipment sizing and equipment selection considering optimization and standardization.
Quality & Compliance Review
- Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Mechanical Rotating Engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants and contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor's Mechanical Rotating Engineering design activities.
- Review and approval of Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor's work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices.
Stakeholder & Team Integration
- Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering, Operation, and Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Discipline Engineering execution and integrity.
- Ensure integration of overall Mechanical Rotating Engineering and overall coordination within IPMT Mechanical Rotating Engineering Team.
- Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
- Interface with Managers, Team Leaders and Engineers in Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department.
- Interface regularly with Contractor's Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as required.
Reviews & Workshops
- Participate in layout reviews, Model review, design reviews, and technical workshops.
- Coordinate technical reviews and bid evaluation and performance evaluation.
Support During Project Lifecycle
- Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
- Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to design optimization and validation.
Reporting & Project Support
- Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager, and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry.
- Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
- Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
