PMC Junior Engineer – All Disciplines at Wood PLC, based in the UAE. This role is open to UAE Nationals only.

Role Purpose

Support the successful delivery of engineering and project execution activities by assisting project teams in planning, coordination, and technical tasks. Develop practical project management and engineering skills while contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Execution

• Assist in the coordination and execution of engineering and project activities in line with project schedules and objectives
• Support project engineers and managers in tracking progress, deliverables, and key milestones
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project meetings

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, meeting minutes, and technical submissions

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Liaise with multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure alignment of project requirements

Cost & Resource Management

• Assist in monitoring project costs, timelines, and resource allocation
• Support procurement, vendor coordination, and expediting activities where required

Risk & Compliance

• Contribute to risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant industry standards
• Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times

Professional Development

• Engage in continuous learning and development to build technical and project management competencies

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline)
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or training experience preferred)
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycle in an EPC/EPCM environment

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is an advantage
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced project environment
