PMC Construction Supervisor - Civil

Role Overview

Wood PLC is recruiting an experienced PMC Construction Supervisor - Civil for the Engineering team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, within the Oil, Gas & New Energies business. This is a site-based position in Abu Dhabi supporting an ADNOC Onshore project.

Role Purpose

To supervise daily civil construction activities and coordinate the execution of all civil works on site, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and method statements while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environment.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Supervision

• Supervise daily civil construction activities and workforce.
• Monitor execution of foundations, buildings, roads, paving, drainage systems, trenches, culverts, and underground structures.
• Ensure construction follows approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

Coordination & Execution

• Coordinate subcontractors and site crews for smooth execution.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Enforce HSE requirements and company safety policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Identify unsafe conditions and stop unsafe work practices.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with permit-to-work systems.
• Participate in safety inspections and incident investigations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas projects.
• At least 3+ years' experience in a similar position.
• At least 5+ years in a PMC role on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects.
• Strong experience in large-scale EPC/EPCM projects with CAPEX greater than USD 500 million.
• PMC experience is highly preferable.
• Large projects experience is a must.
• Middle East or GCC experience on projects with Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, PDO, or similar clients is a must.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications, and work practices is essential.
• Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa.
