Planning Engineer at Nova Construction, a UAE-based general contracting company specializing in branded residences. The role supports schedule development, progress monitoring, and performance reporting for a high-end residential project at Al Jurf (JCB).

Role Purpose
The Planning Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed project schedules, tracking progress, identifying delays, and providing accurate planning insights to ensure the project is delivered on time and in compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development and Maintenance
- Develop and maintain baseline schedules using Primavera P6.
- Create WBS structures, activity sequencing, resource loading, S-curves, and histograms.
- Prepare 2-week, 4-week, and 6-week look-ahead programs.
Progress Monitoring and Analysis
- Update schedules weekly and monthly and analyze progress versus plan.
- Identify variances, assess critical path impacts, and prepare planning reports and dashboards.
- Monitor engineering, procurement, and authority approvals against schedule needs.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain delay and change event registers and support Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
- Support Extension of Time (EOT) submissions with schedules and as-built data.
- Maintain planning documentation, revisions, and as-built records.
Coordination and Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate closely with site teams, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors.
- Review subcontractor schedules for alignment with the master plan.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 8–10 years' experience as a Planning Engineer (UAE preferred).
- Proven experience on high-end residential, villa, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and progress measurement.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office.

Certifications
- Primavera P6 Certification (required).
- PSP® (AACE) – preferred.
- PMP® – advantage.
- TIA/Delay Analysis training – advantage.
