Planning and scheduling Engineer

Role Overview

Planning and Scheduling Engineer at HanmiGlobal Saudi. The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Role Purpose

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to manage progress, identify risks, and support decision-making across project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule Development and Maintenance

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Conduct critical path analysis and provide recommendations to optimize timelines.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Monitor project progress and performance against planned schedules.
• Prepare regular reports including progress updates, schedule analysis, and forecasts.

Risk Management and Coordination

• Identify potential delays and risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to gather accurate progress data.

Project Support

• Support project management in resource planning and allocation.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and contractual obligations.
• Assist in evaluating variations, claims, and extensions of time (EOT).

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably within construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of project controls, risk management, and construction workflows.
• Experience working on large-scale projects in the Middle East is an advantage.
