Role Purpose

To supervise, manage and support subcontractors in executing piping construction effectively and safely in accordance with project specifications. The role ensures discipline-specific construction progress, quality compliance, safety standards, and coordination across project teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Supervision & Management

• Supervise and manage subcontractors to proceed with construction effectively in accordance with project specification under safe conditions.
• Lead construction in each discipline.
• Support tie-in planning, preparation and execution.
• Manage piping fabrication shop control and ensure on-time completion.
• Oversee inter-connection piping fabrication and installation, including hydraulic lines.
• Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials are available in advance of construction implementation.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure work is carried out with witness, inspection and surveillance checks in accordance with the quality plan and quality control manager requirements.
• Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specification and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
• Ensure project permit system is followed completely.
• Monitor pressure test package control and work execution for pneumatic and hydro tests.
• Control steam tracing test package and work execution.
• Supervise and ensure special item installation including locking devices, fire extinguishers, and sampling systems.

Safety & Site Management

• Supervise and ensure safe conditions at construction site in cooperation with the safety department.
• Ensure all safety requirements are complied with at work site.
• Ensure material preservation to avoid damages, especially on flange surfaces.

Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning

• Ensure pre-commissioning activities are completed.
• Involve in commissioning and start-up activities.
• Participate in mechanical and construction completion walk-through with client and punch closing.

Progress Tracking & Reporting

• Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction reports.
• Attend meetings with sub-contractors and clients regarding work schedule and progress.

Planning & Documentation

• Prepare construction M/S (Method Statement) based on specification and requirements.
• Record B/P (Best Practice) and L/L (Lessons Learned).

Coordination

• Coordinate with PMT and project client regarding critical issues at work site.
• Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Postgraduate diploma in process piping design and drafting.
• Construction experience in oil, gas, petrochemical or power plants as piping supervisor.
• Working experience in the Middle East as a piping supervisor.
• Engineering and Construction Company working experience in the Middle East is preferred.
