Role Purpose

Supervise, manage and support subcontractors to execute piping construction effectively in accordance with project specifications under safe conditions. Lead coordination across disciplines and ensure compliance with quality, safety and permit requirements throughout fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Safety

• Supervise and ensure safe conditions at construction sites in cooperation with the safety department.
• Ensure project permit system is followed completely and all safety requirements are complied with at work site.
• Supervise and ensure special item installation—locking device, fire extinguisher, sampling system.

Construction Quality & Compliance

• Supervise and ensure construction quality in accordance with project specification and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
• Ensure work is carried out with witness, inspection and surveillance checks in accordance with the quality plan and quality control manager requirements.
• Join mechanical and construction completion walk-through with client and punch closing.

Fabrication & Installation

• Control piping fabrication shop operations and ensure on-time completion.
• Manage inter-connection piping fabrication and installation (hydraulic lines etc.).
• Ensure material preservation to avoid any damages, especially on flange surfaces.

Testing & Pre-Commissioning

• Control and execute pressure test packages (pneumatic and hydro).
• Control and execute steam tracing test packages.
• Ensure pre-commissioning activities are completed and involve in commissioning and start-up activities.

Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate tie-in planning, preparation and execution.
• Coordinate with the in-charge of construction in each discipline.
• Coordinate with PMT and project client regarding critical issues at work site.
• Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to resolve interface issues.
• Attend meetings with sub-contractors and clients regarding work schedule and progress.
• Prepare construction Method Statement (M/S) based on specification and requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

• Ensure necessary construction drawings and materials are available in advance of construction implementation.
• Manage construction progress by checking daily, weekly and monthly work done quantities.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction reports.
• Record Best Practice (B/P) and Lessons Learned (L/L).

Review & Approval

• Review subcontractor plans for Manpower, Equipment and Schedule.

Qualifications & Experience

• Post graduate diploma in process piping design and drafting.
• Construction experience in oil, gas, petrochemical or power plants as piping supervisor.
• Working experience in Middle East as piping supervisor.
• Engineering and Construction Company working experience in Middle East is preferred.

• FMCS proficiency.
• MC and CC completion experience.
